Multimediální instalace Lukáše Houdka reaguje zejména na zlehčování a zpochybňování fyzické i psychické náročnosti cesty lidí, kteří do Evropy přicházejí za lepším nebo bezpečnějším životem. Někteří totiž vnímají rozhodnutí lidí opustit svůj život a blízké jako pouhý vrtoch, ve svých komentářích se navíc nezdráhají používat četné dehumanizující formulace. Instalace tak dává návštěvníkům možnost si vyzkoušet, jakou může mít taková cesta podobu. Ti si pak sami mohou položit otázku, nakolik člověk absolvuje cestu v takových podmínkách (navíc bez vědomí momentu, kdy cesta skončí), z rozmaru, nebo zda k tomu může mít závažné osobní pohnutky - ať už je každý z nás vnímá jako důvod pro podporu a udělení ochrany, nebo nikoliv.

Spectators can enter the transport container from Lukáš Houdek and experience the way how some refugees travel to Europe –
without them knowing when the journey end and when the container door opens. The work is a response to the perception of the
situation of the refugees, their journey is compared with an adventure trip (travel agency HopeTour). Author’s statement: „Some
people trivialize the situation of refugees and simultaneously challenge the physical and mental demands of the journey. They
perceive people’s decision to leave their entire life behind as a whim. The viewers have the opportunity to experience at first
hand what such a long journey can mean. It is a reflection on whether the person who undertakes such a journey really acts
of a pure whim, or whether they have a good reason – whether
we respect it (and see it as a reason to help them), or not.“
